sauteed mushrooms

Ingredients

  • 1 lb shimeji mushrooms
  • 1/2 tsp salt and pepper
  • 1/8 C white wine
  • 1/4 C water
  • 1 Tbsp butter

Instructions

  1. Toss mushrooms with salt & pepper as well as a splash of white wine.
  2. Heat frying pan and sautee them with a shallow amount of water until the pan runs dry, then tossed in a dollop of butter to sear. When they have a decent crust, remove them. Deglaze pan with more wine and use a spatula to get the brown bits up. Pour sauce over mushrooms.
