White Chicken Chili

Ingredients

  • 1 onion chopped
  • 1 clove garlic
  • 30 oz canned great northern beans
  • 3 chicken breasts
  • 2 tsp cumin
  • 2 tsp oregano
  • 5 oz can green chilis chopped
  • 30 oz chicken stock
  • 1 package egg noodles
  • 12 oz shredded monterey jack cheese

Instructions

  1. Combine everything EXCEPT chicken stock, egg noodles and cheese into a gallon size freezer bag and freeze til needed. Thaw before slow cooking since meat can dangerously harbor bacteria if kept at warm temperature for too long as happens when frozen meat cooks very slowly.
  2. When ready to cook, dump bag into slow cooker and add chicken stock. Cook on low for 8 hours.
  3. Cook egg noodles to package instructions.
  4. Stir in cheese just before serving.
