Make rice. Heat water to boil, add rice, stir and cover pot. Reduce heat to lowest setting and let sit til water is fully absorbed.
Cut the chicken into bite size pieces and place in medium bowl. Add 1/2 tsp of garlic and chili paste and toss to coat.
Cut green beans and any other vegetable you want into very small pieces.
Whisk together the oyster sauce, fish sauce, soys, and sugar. If you have mushroom sauce, add this too. This will be your main sauce.
Heat a wok to high and add the meat and cook through, then add the green beans and any optional vegetable you like, then the sauce, add chicken stock and then basil, wok it up.
