Heat the oil in large pan over medium heat. Add the garlic, basil and red pepper and toast til garlic is lightly golden.
Add the tomatoes and cook down. When they're soft enough to smash them into the pan, add white wine and tomato sauce. Let cook down further for another 10 minutes.
Add cooked spaghetti to the pan and stir to combine.
Serve with dollops of a mild soft cheese, such as burrata, and garnish with a fresh basil leaf if desired.
