Asparagus and Bacon Twists

Ingredients

  • 16 asparagus
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp pepper
  • 16 slices of bacon
  • 1 tube crescent rolls
  • 1 egg

Instructions

  1. Set oven to 350 degrees F.
  2. Spread the asparagus on a baking sheet and give them a spritz of cooking oil spray.
  3. Unroll the crescent rolls and cut the 8 pieces lengthwise into 16.
  4. Salt and pepper the asparagus, then wrap each with a strip of uncooked bacon, then a thinly stretched uncooked crescent roll.
  5. Crack an egg in a small bowl and whisk it til yoke and white are well mixed, but not foamy. Brush each asparagus spiral with eggwash.
  6. Bake in preheated oven for about 18 minutes.
