Ingredients

  • 1 3/4 white sugar
  • 8 water
  • 8 lemons
  • 1 C raspberries (optional)
  • 1 C strawberries (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a small saucepan, combine sugar and 1 cup water. Bring to boil and stir to dissolve sugar. Allow to cool to room temperature, then cover and refrigerate until chilled.
  2. Juice the lemons, being careful to discard seeds but leave pulp. In pitcher, stir together chilled syrup, lemon juice and remaining 7 cups water.
  3. Add either raspberries or strawberries to float in the pitcher. They look nice and add a little twist to the flavor.
