Cooking Time
15 minutes

Ingredients

  • 1 tsp taco seasoning
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1/2 C water
  • 6 tortillas or taco shells
  • 6 leaves lettuce
  • 2 tomatoes
  • 1 avocado
  • 1 Tbsp sour cream
  • 1/2 C cheddar cheese

Instructions

  1. Use Taco Seasoning recipe or packaged taco seasoning.
  2. If using tortillas, place them between two sheets of foil and crimp the edges. Heat toaster oven or oven to 300 and set the tortilla packet in while you prepare the meat.
  3. Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Crumble ground beef into the hot skillet. Cook and stir until the beef is completely browned, 7 to 10 minutes. Drain and discard any excess grease. Note: to dispose of grease safely, pour it into a ceramic bowl and put the bowl in the fridge. When the grease has solidified you can scrape it into your trash bin.
  4. Return ground beef to heat. Pour taco seasoning and water over the beef; stir to combine. Bring to a simmer and cook until the moisture absorbs into the meat, about 5 minutes.
