Overnight Oats

Ingredients

  • 1 C milk
  • 1 Tbsp brown sugar
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/2 C regular or thick rolled oats
  • 1 1/2 Tbsp nuts (optional)
  • 1/4 C fresh fruit (optional)

Instructions

  1. Combine and mix well the oats, sweetener, salt and milk the night before you want to eat them. Cover and put them in the fridge for the night.
  2. In the morning, you can add in fresh fruit, nuts or seeds to mix it up. If you use chia seeds, those should be put in the night before to soften a little. All others are fine right before eating. You can also try yogurt instead of milk.
  3. Be sure to mix well before eating.
