Buttercream Frosting

Ingredients

  • 3 C confectioners sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 1/2 Tbsp whipping cream
  • 1 C butter (unsalted)

Instructions

  1. Soften the butter (if it was in the fridge then microwave it for 20 seconds), then mix together sugar and butter using a stand mixer with a whisk or handheld. Mix on low speed until well blended and then increase speed to medium and beat for another 3 minutes.
  2. Add vanilla and whipping cream and continue to beat on medium speed for 1 minute more, adding more cream if needed for spreading consistency.
