Fit piecrust into a 9-inch pieplate. When oven is preheated, bake the empty pie crust for 7 minutes then remove from oven. Reduce oven temperature to 350 degrees F.
Cook bacon in a large skillet until crisp, then drain on paper towels, and crumble to smaller bits. Sprinkle bacon, green onions, and 1 cup cheese into pie crust.
Whisk together eggs, whipping cream, salt, red and white pepper and nutmeg. Pour egg mixture into crust, and sprinkle with remaining 1 cup cheese.
Bake for 35 to 40 minutes or until set. Let stand 10 minutes.
