Grilled Salmon

Ingredients

  • 1/4 C fresh basil
  • 1 tsp soy sauce
  • 4 garlic
  • 1 Tbsp ginger root
  • 1 Tbsp hot chile paste
  • 2 Tbsp brown sugar
  • 1/4 C rice vinegar
  • 1/3 C water
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 4 salmon

Instructions

  1. Preheat grill to medium heat and lightly oil the grate.
  2. Season salmon fillets with salt and rub lightly with oil.
  3. Place salmon on the preheated grill; cook salmon for 6 to 8 minutes per side, or until the fish flakes easily with a fork.
  4. Combine water, rice vinegar, brown sugar, chile paste, ginger, garlic, and soy sauce in a small saucepan over medium heat. Bring mixture to a boil, then reduce heat to medium and simmer about 2 minutes, or until slightly thickened.
  5. Sprinkle basil on top of salmon and spoon glaze over basil.
