Iced Sweet Tea

Ingredients

  • 1/8 tsp baking soda
  • 6 tea bags
  • 6 C water
  • 1 C sugar
  • 2 C water

Instructions

  1. Heat 2 cups water to a boil. In a large, heat safe bowl or pitcher place the tea bags and add the baking soda. Pour in the boiling water over the tea bags, then cover and let it steep for 15 minutes.
  2. Take out the tea bags (but don't squeeze them) and pour the tea into your pitcher if it's not already in there. Add the sugar and stir til it's dissolved. Add in the 6 cups of cold water and let it cool in the refrigerator. Best if served over ice.
